Agriturismo Podere Ranciano Alto is a few miles from Lake Trasimeno. Here tourists can spend the day along the shores of the lake where you can swim, sunbathe or fish, or go by ferry to explore the islands of Trasimeno: visits to Isola Island Polvese and more allow you to see both magnificent natural landscapes monuments.
Castiglione del lago 4km from farm is a country rich in history and culture that is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Walking the narrow streets of this old village you can admire Palazzo della Corgna from the mid1500, and the magnificent medieval fortress with the Castle of the Lion pentagonal built in 1247. Castiglione del Lago organizes many cultural events and leisure activities among which we remember the Tulip Festival in April where the parade along with historical parades floats made from the petals of the tulips, the Spring Meeting, those heavens and the White Night.

Paciano, Panicale and Città della Pieve is located a few miles from Ranciano, where you can immerse yourself in scenarios really striking facts of nature and history. Pietro Vannucci, known as Perugino, one of the most famous painters of the Italian Renaissance was born in Città della Pieve, formed in Verrocchio's workshop left several paintings to admire in the local churches and the National Gallery of Umbria in Perugia.
In Umbria, there are many cities rich in culture and history that must absolutely visit: Perugia with Palazzo dei Priori and Fontana Maggiore, Assisi, birthplace of St. Francis and adorned by the paintings of Giotto, Gubbio, Spello, Deruta, famous for its ceramics, Orvieto with its splendid Gothic Cathedral, offer visitors unique opportunities to enjoy a relaxing and know the art of our region.
Podere Ranciano Alto is located on the border of Tuscany in a short time you will arrive in Val d'Orcia to see Siena where the famous Palio takes place in July and August, Montalcino and Montepulciano famous for wine, Monte Oliveto, Pienza , Chiusi famous Etruscan town, Bagno Vignoni spas to relax in the renowned but also Cortona, Arezzo, Foiano della Chiana.
